2026 Blind Australian of the Year Awards: Employer of Choice Finalists Announced

The Employer of Choice Award recognises organisations that not only champion diversity, but demonstrate how workplace accessibility and inclusion can be effectively delivered to create genuinely diverse, high-performing teams and contribute to successful business outcomes.
The award celebrates organisations that are helping to create more inclusive workplaces and demonstrating the value of meaningful employment opportunities for Australians who are blind or living with low vision.
The Employer of Choice Award is proudly presented by the Queensland Government – Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.
The recipients of the Blind Australian of the Year Awards 2026 will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday, 10 October 2026, at the Royal on the Park Hotel in Brisbane.
The Gala Dinner will bring together finalists, supporters, advocates, community leaders and guests from across Australia for an evening celebrating the achievements and contributions of Australians living with blindness and low vision.
Guests will also enjoy an incredible lineup of entertainment and special guests, including Julie Goodwin, Reggie Bird and Karan Nagrani, aka That Blind Guy™.
